Build the relevant skill sets to be a creative problem solver and collaborator with new thinking models, digital skills and methodological frameworks. Develop the creative confidence and agency for creative problem-solving and collaboration. Learn to translate theory into practice and practice into action. Form new mindsets, leverage technology, and model approaches that highlight the relationship between disruption and sustainability through practice-based experiences that promote professional development.

DO different.

Learn through action, experience and immersion. The learning focus is on design, circularity, and strategic innovation with regional and international immersive trips to broaden students' natural curiosity and professional exposure. This program spans a spring semester and a summer international experience. The core course content will introduce students to an understanding of the circular economy and how the principles of the concept can be applied to different global industries and the business of building a better world.

This immersive international impact exchange program explores Asia and the US in a changing world. A unique international learning journey allows participants to explore business design and comprehensive internationalization strategies by visiting with organizations and individuals shaping the business landscapes across Asia and the world.  


Tentative Travel Dates & Itinerary

May 13-26, 2024 to Cambodia, Hong Kong & Thailand

The two weeks program (May 13 to May 26), sponsored by the Walker College of Business, includes  Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Bangkok, Thailand. 

The program cost is $2,500 which includes all air travel (domestic and international), all lodging and most meals, ground transportation and entrance fees. Students will receive 3 credit hours for participation (summer tuition is not included). If you are still undecided, take a look at Google images for Phnom Penh, Hong Kong and Bangkok, and you will be amazed! We will be visiting various business, universities and cultural sites throughout Phnom Penh, Hong Kong and Bangkok.

Applying

The 2024 Holland Fellowship online application is now closed. Applications for 2025 will open at a later date.

To apply you must be a junior or senior business major with a GPA of 3.0 or better and you must be admitted to the Walker College of Business by the end of the fall semester when you apply. Please be aware that, along with your application, you will also be submitting a personal statement and one letter of recommendation. 

  • Tentative Dates and Locations:  May 13-May 26, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Bangkok, Thailand
  • Program Cost: $2,500 plus tuition for BUS 4065, Holland Fellows International Business Study in Asia II (3 credit hours) in Summer 2024
  • Students participating in this program are required to enroll in BUS 4060, Holland Fellows International Business Study in Asia I (3 credit hours) in Spring 2024.  Course description available in the Walker College of Business Bulletin in International Business courses.
